Stamping
A mark, seal, or impression made using a die. You can either
blind stamp which leaves only an impression in the cover material
or foil stamp which can be an assortment of colors. The foil
is still an impression (running your finger on it you will
still feel it), but you are less aware of the impression as
you are the color.. Stamping in foil is more expensive than
blind stamping because you add the cost of that foil.
Stock
Stock in printing refers to paper.
Text
Text in printing refers to all of the pages of a book except
is cover. It is not just the main body of type on a page,
but all of the type on a page. That includes any headings,
page numbers (folios), etc. and it includes ALL pages in a
book (including blanks).
Trim size
The size of the pages in your book is the trim size. The second
dimension is the binding edge. So, if it is an upright book,
it is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2". Remember, if you measure a hardcover
book, the "case" is larger and that is NOT the trim
size. The trim size= page size. Note: Outside the US the bind
dimension is often given as the first dimension. You can never
go wrong using the words "upright" (portrait), or
"oblong" (landscape).

Wire-O binding
A type of paperback binding. A continuous double series of
wire loops run through punched slots along the bindery side
of a book. Wire-O is often plastic coated wire.
